4 days to bootstrap the C language learning, see development concepts and code some stuff.

ptr_ proposes:

as a first excercise we can code the 'game of life': see the patterns evolve http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conway_game_of_life (half a day)
for people that are more interested in microcontrollers, we can do a quick introduction on arduino to show you the basics (2-3 hours)
take an existing project and mess around with it (backdoor for the win) (eg. some apache module, openssh, ping, ...) (evening/night session)
