Create and configure an account
- Create a new gmail / Google Calendar account, with anything as login and a random password (don't use your usual password!)
- Go to Google Calendar
- Click on the settings links (on some versions, it could be the wheel at the top right)
- Go to mobile setup and confirm your phone number (to the number you want to receive SMS)
- Go to the Calendar tab, then choose notifications
- Event reminders: remind me via SMS 5 minutes before the event (choose SMS in the dropdown list and write 5 instead the default 10 minutes)
That's all, you configured your account.
